Very large Malaysian Moon moth, Actias maenas from Malaysia, presented in a handmade 8.5"x9.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on black paper. You will receive the exact same framed moth shown in the photos. Wingspan measures 4.85 inches across, 5.2 inches from top to bottom! I have prepared this specimen with the wings slightly lowered, in the style that was popular during the late 19th century. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting and providing our insect frames for over a decade to nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in the USA. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM.
