Unusual velvety neon blue butterfly, Nessaea hewitsoni from Peru, presented in a handmade 5.5"x5.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on white paper. Nice example of this awesome species, wingspan measures 2.55 inches. You will receive the exact same framed specimen shown in the photos. This species of butterflies is one of the only ones on earth to exhibit true blue pigmentation on the wings. Most other blue butterflies are the result of the play of light on the shapes of the wing scales. So cool! Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade.
