Exquisite and rarely offered Peacock katydid, Pterochroza ocellata from Peru, presented in a handmade 10.5"x10.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on black paper. I think this is one of the coolest species of insects on the planet! The wings emulate dead leafs and debris to fool predators. This particular example is a female and is quite large, with a wingspan measuring 5.7 inches across! I have the male in a separate listing. It's been a long hard search to source these and I only have a very few of them to offer. You will receive the exact same framed specimen shown in the pictures.
