Stunning and rarely offered iridescent purple hairstreak butterfly from Indonesia, presented in a handmade 4.5"x4.5" wood frame. This is a breathtaking species which is incredibly reflective, almost like purple foil. Wingspan measures 1.85 inches. You will receive the exact same framed butterfly shown in the pictures. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting and providing our insect frames for over a decade to nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in the USA. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM.
