Real and uncommon XL long tailed Chinese moon moth, presented in a handmade 8.5"x9.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on black paper. This is an extremely large example of this stunning species of silk moth. Wingspan measures 3.5 inches across the forewings, 5.55 inches from top to bottom! You will receive the same framed specimen shown in the photos. I am selling it at a discount due to the small chip on the left forewing. Still an incredible moth :) Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade. We have provided these natural displays for nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are ethically sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in New Orleans, Louisiana. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM. All frames come with 99% UV protective glass so you don't have to worry about your investment ever fading. (Although it is a good idea to still keep out of direct sunlight.)
