Real large blue butterfly, Memphis xenocrates from Peru, presented in a handmade 5.5"x5.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on white paper. You will receive the exact same perfect framed specimen that is shown in the pictures. Wingspan measures 2.7 inches. This is the first time I have ever been able to obtain a female of this beautiful species, very nice and very large. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade. We have provided these natural displays for nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are ethically sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in the USA. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM. All frames come with 99% UV protective glass so you don't have to worry about your investment ever fading. (Although it is a good idea to still keep out of direct sunlight.)
