Rare deep purple/blue butterfly from Indonesia, Cethosia lamarcki, presented in a handmade 5"x5" wood frame. It was really hard for me to photograph this beauty because the color is deep but metallic and right on the line between purple and blue. Wingspan measures 2.35 inches. You will receive the exact same framed butterfly shown in the pictures. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade. We have provided these natural displays for nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in the USA. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM. All frames come with 99% UV protective glass so you don't have to worry about your investment ever fading. (Although it is a good idea to still keep out of direct sunlight.)
