Real large green female praying mantis, Hierodula patellifera from Indonesia. She is triumphantly displaying the severed head of her lover with her razor sharp arms. You will receive the exact same perfect specimen shown in the pictures. Great gift for weddings, engagements, breakups, and valentines day. This lady has a 3.85 inch wingspan, presented in a handmade 7"x7" shadowbox frame. This work was inspired by the amazing fine artworks of Tara Sellios which can be seen at Tarasellios.com. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade. We have provided these natural displays for nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are ethically sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in New Orleans, Louisiana. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM.
