Real iridescent green and black female Alpine Swallowtail butterfly, Papilio maackii from China, presented in a handmade 8.5"x8.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on white paper. You will receive the same framed specimen shown in the pictures. I have prepared this specimen with the wings slightly lowered in the style that was fashionable during the late 19th century. Large 5.65 inch wingspan. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade. We have provided these natural displays for nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are ethically sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in the USA. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM. All frames come with 99% UV protective glass so you don't have to worry about your investment ever fading. (Although it is a good idea to still keep out of direct sunlight.)
