Real yellow Underwing moth, Catocala desdemona from New Mexico, presented in a handmade 5.5"x5.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on parchment paper with the scientific name and country of origin printed below. Underwing moths have forewings the color of tree bark so that when they are resting they cannot be seen by predators. But when they go to fly or mate, they reveal beautiful rays of color on their underwings. Other species can be white, red, pink, orange or bluish grey. Wingspan measures 2.85 inches. You will receive the exact same specimen shown in the pictures. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade.
