Gorgeous and seldom offered real jewel beetle, Chrysina chrysargyrea from Costa Rica, presented in a handmade 4.5"x4.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on parchment paper with the scientific name and country of origin printed below. This is one of the most beautiful beetles in the world, and quite a bit larger than most of the other metallic beetles from the Americas. This one measures 1.1 inches from tip to tip, not including legs or antenna. Normally this species is silver, but on rare occasion they can be redish gold like this one... very special! You will receive the exact same lovely specimen shown in the pictures. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade. We have provided these natural displays for nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are ethically sourced from farming operations located throughout the world.
