Huge real African Flower beetle, Goliathus goliatus, presented in an handmade extra deep 7.5"x8.5" wood frame. Professionally mounted on parchment paper with the scientific name and country of origin printed below. This species has a beautiful velvety deep maroon colored shell. The body of the specimen measures 3.55 inches from the tip of the horn to the bottom of the shell, not in including the legs. You will receive the same specimen shown in the pictures. Curious Kingdom has been lovingly crafting our handmade insect frames for over a decade. We have provided these natural displays for nature enthusiasts, museums, and television and film sets. Most of our insects are ethically sourced from farming operations located throughout the world. All of our insect frames are handmade from painted birch wood in the USA. I personally prepare each insect one at a time and put everything together here at my Bug Studio in Silver City, NM. All frames come with 99% UV protective glass so you don't have to worry about your investment ever fading. (Although it is a good idea to still keep out of direct sunlight.)
